Don’t ever have a negative attitude.
It harms you more than anything.
If you look at Amazon reviews of a popular book (any book you can find), you will see that the reviews are divided into 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 stars.
For example, Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl has received 66% five-star reviews and 2% one-star reviews.
Why do people give such a wonderful book bad reviews? The reason is they just want to complain about things.
Some have found torn pages. Some have found missing lines. Some have even complained that the page numbers were written abnormally. And there are similar reviews from other people.
Meanwhile, most of the five-star reviews are given by people who read the book thoroughly and expressed their gratitude for how the author had gone through such a tough time in his life. Those people truly grasped the essence of the book. They learned wonderful lessons from it.
But those who complained will hardly complete the book. They will find more problems. They will try to improve other things rather than themselves. They will learn nothing from it.
So, don’t be like those people. Good things are everywhere. Find them, love them, and get them to work for you.
Don’t find fault in others more than you find in yourself.
