Highest and Lowest IPO Listings in 2026

The following tables highlight the highest and lowest IPO listings across the Mainboard and SME segments, identifying notable outliers in listing performance.

Top IPO Listing Performers (Top 10) (2026)

SME IPOs dominated the top performers, accounting for 9 of the top 10 listings. Six SME IPOs delivered exactly 90% listing gains, while Bharat Coking Coal was the only Mainboard IPO in the top 10 and ranked first with a 95.65% gain.

Weakest IPO Listings (Top 10) (2026)

Shree Ram Twistex recorded the weakest listing performance with a 34.60% loss. SME IPOs dominated the weakest performers, including 13 issues tied at a 20% listing loss.

Key Observations from IPO Listings till July 2026

1. Listing performance improved, but outsized winners still skew the average.
The average listing gain rose to 8.71%, while the median stands at just 2.09%. The 6.62 percentage-point gap shows that a relatively small group of strong listings continues to pull the overall average higher.

2. SME IPOs widened their listing-performance lead over Mainboard issues.
SME IPOs averaged a 9.77% listing gain versus 6.05% for Mainboard IPOs. However, their premium listing ratios were almost identical—54.08% vs. 53.85%—suggesting SME outperformance came primarily from the magnitude of gains, not a higher probability of listing at a premium.

3. More than half of IPOs now list at a premium, but outcomes remain highly selective.
Of the 137 IPOs, 54.01% listed at a premium, 32.85% at a discount and 13.14% at par. Premium listings have moved into a clearer majority, but nearly one-third of IPOs still debuted below their issue price.

4. The extremes underline how much IPO selection matters.
The year’s best listing delivered a 95.65% gain, while the weakest fell 34.60%—a spread of 130.25 percentage points. With 9 of the 10 strongest performers being SME IPOs, headline averages mask substantial variation across individual issues.

• Additional industry and company data is referenced from reliable institutional sources including the Securities and Exchange Board of India, the India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF), company websites, and exchange filings.
• The P/E ratio of each IPO is calculated using earnings data disclosed in the RHP and the IPO issue price.
• Listing Gain or Loss (%) is calculated using the following formula:
  Listing Gain (%) = ((Listing Price − Issue Price) / Issue Price) × 100
• The tracker is updated during the first week of every month to incorporate IPO listings from the previous month.
• Updates may also be made periodically whenever new verified listing information becomes available.
